Pregnancy After 40 Relates to Longer Life
By increasing your overall health to help achieve a natural pregnancy later in life has the side effect of giving you a longer life expectancy ! The New England Centerian study has found a direct correlation of women who have children later in life and their overall life expectancy. Women who had children after the age of 40 had a 4x greater likelihood of living past 100. I would not take this information and believe that having a child after 40 will make me live longer but think about what these woman have done to allow them to conceive later in life.
There was a genetic factor to be found in these women because not only did they have a greater life expectancy but so did their brothers. This could point to a similar healthy upbringing which would positively impact the epigenetics of anyone with a similar life style. Epigenetics is how our body expresses our genes and how through diet, lifestyle, toxic exposure, ... we can negatively or positively change these expressions (ie - fertility or life expectancy).
Follow this link for more information on epigenetics.
I believe that achieving a greater level of health will create a more fertile body for both women and men. The powerful idea behind this way of treatment for fertility is greater pregnancy rates as well as lower miscarriage rates. When mom and dad are feeling healthier not only do they have the energy to provide care for their active children, they can also enjoy a longer life with them.
