Infertile customs officer

A friend of mine, who is a custom’s officer, tells me they have a saying at work that “three questions reveal a lie.” In their work to identify the dishonest or dangerous, they ask progressively deeper and deeper questions along a single line until either it’s clear whether the person is legit or not.

You might find the questions I was asked on Saturday by a US customs agent amusing. It seems it took many, many questions to sort out whether I was legit — or to get some free medical advice :)
